The Gary Joliff Papers document the research, teaching, and professional service activities of Joliff, a faculty member in the Oregon State University Crop Science Department from 1976 until his retirement in 2002. Jolliff specialized in the study of meadowfoam and its development as a crop in the Willamette Valley and lead the Oregon Experiment Station new crops research project from 1978 until 2002.

Gary D. Jolliff joined the Oregon State University faculty in 1976 as an Associate Professor in the Crop Science Department, specializing in the study of meadowfoam and its development as a domesticated crop in the Willamette Valley. The Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station was established under the provisions of the federal Hatch Act of 1887. Agricultural experimentation began at Oregon Agricultural College in 1888.
